News Flash Details-No Meeting for July

Happy Independence Day!  Hope you're enjoying the summer weather and having a good time with family, friends and fireworks.

A few things to let you know about:

As always, we will NOT have a July meeting.

Our August meeting will be Sunday, August 3, at the Darien Municipal Center, 1710 Plainfield Road, Darien. Details and schedule to follow, but we'll have a workday with demos.

Explorations in Oil & Cold Wax
Explore the diversity of oil and cold wax to create richly layered abstracted paintings. Unlike
encaustic, the wax is used at room temperature without heat. Using non-traditional tools, combine powdered pigments, oil bars, and other media along with the oil paint and wax medium to create depth, line and textured color fields. Learn through demonstrations, discussion and exploration. Discover the versatility of this medium through the experimental, intuitive nature of the class.
Ages 18+
Prerequisite: some experience in any medium
