Call for Submission.....

We know more than we can use. Look at all this stuff I’ve got in my head: rockets and Venetian churches, David Bowie and Big Macs, sunglasses and orgasms. —Susan Sontag

(SCENE) Metrospace in East Lansing, MI is currently accepting submissions for a juried exhibition featuring COLLAGE + ASSEMBLAGE. Submitted work should make use of COLLAGE or ASSEMBLAGE including works on/of paper as well as painting, sculpture, installation, video etc. that explores collage or a collaged aesthetic as a primary component.

Located near the campus of Michigan State University, (SCENE) is across the street from the newly opened Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum MSU designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid. Juror Michelle Word is a faculty member in the Department of Art, Art History, and Design at Michigan State University and Interim Director of Education at the Broad Art Museum. Among other courses, she frequently teaches studio and lecture classes on collage.
