Here is a write-up for the show:
When a group of artists with a common interest interact, nurture, support and educate one another you'll find "The Collective Muse".  The Midwest Collage Society(MCS) combines a wealth of talent from an array of artistic disciplines with one common thread: collage.  Collage is so much more than paper and paste.

Collage artists reuse and repurpose items often considered expendable.  A cast off item can provide the inspiration and focal point for award winning artwork.  Collage artists are never at a loss for materials.  They collect ephemera anywhere from garage sales to paper stores to the street.  They create hand made papers.  They alter and layer till their vision is complete.

The MCS artists' portfolio ranges from the literal to the imaginary:  landscapes, portraits, imagined visions and abstracts that reveal secret thoughts and emotions. Midwest Collage Society artists elevate collage to a fine art.

"The Collective Muse" will transcend and inspire.
