"Spirit Dolls" Presenters, Mary Warner & Nancy Castner
In this workshop we will be making a Spirit Doll in a style that Nancy has used in many dolls. Nancy and Mary create these dolls to represent different spiritual attributes, such as humility, joy, love, etc. In making your doll you might do the same or perhaps allow yourself to give your doll it's own meaning or interpretation. A photo of the project is attached.
- A piece of decorative paper to adhere to the base board as a background. These boards are approximately 4 to 5" x 4 to 6".
- Gel medium or the like to glue this paper onto board.
- Fibers, such as yarn, ribbons, fancy fibers and trims to use in dressing the doll and possibly for hair.
- Charms, beads and other embellishments such as feathers, etc, to finish off your doll.
Faces and base boards for the Spirit Dolls will be supplied. Also available will be glue guns and a few other glues you might be using, as well as some extra fibers.
