June Meeting Exhibits and Agenda

 MEETINGS

June 1  Noon - 2:30  Collage mobiles Barb Thompson presenter
Artists will design their own collage pieces to be balanced in a simple hanging mobile. Each person will bring their own papers to glue (with glue sticks or matte medium) to four wooden pre- cut shapes. The  shapes will have jump rings and swivels already attached to them. The collage pieces will then be tied onto transparent cords and balanced on 3 wires. Additional embellishments can be added, such as beads or lightweight ephemeral.
There will be a handout prepared with a step by step description and tips for making the mobile.
Bring: Small thin collage papers no larger than 4 inches: hand painted, stenciled, decorative (PaperSource paper), printed or plain tissue paper, ephemeral papers, washi tape
Small Scissors, X-Acto knife or blade, Glue stick or matte medium/brush
Optional: beads, charms, needle- nose pliers
Barb will bring the wires ready for balancing
We will be gluing the papers to both sides of precut, thin wood shapes, so anything that is attached should not be too heavy.
