 MEETINGS

May 4 Noon - 2:30  Ways of Working with Stencils in Collage Presenter Andrea Fox

You’ll be shown stenciling techniques to make background papers, and also learn how to hand cut shapes for collage using the negatives and positives of the stencil.
Bring your collage tools, card stock and decorative papers. Also bring some gift wrap tissue paper. I’ll bring some Bristol Board to start your work. If you already have some, bring that too.

August 3   Noon - 2:30 -  Workday (need committee member to open, run meeting and close)

September 24-28    Noon - 2:30 - Creative Artists Retreat (Joan Lucht & Tania Blanco)

October -  No Meeting
November 2    Noon - 2:30 - Presenter Laura Lein-Svencner (Laura Lein-Svencner runs meeting)

December 1   Noon - 2:30 - Holiday Party (Need organizer)

Members needed to open/close and run the meetings for our workdays on Aug 3 and February

The MCS is always looking for anyone willing to step up for the presidency at this time membership has converted to each person presenting will tend to the affairs needed to open and close meetings.

Membership for 2025 – 2026 renews on April 1. Please make checks payable to Midwest Collage Society for $20. If you are also interested in joining the National Collage Society, dues are an additional $35.

FALL CREATIVE ARTISTS RETREAT

Save the date September 24-28, 2025 for our next special retreat at Camp Alexander Mack.

We look forward to our next time together making art, attending workshops,  enjoying nature and marveling at the beautiful sunsets. Tania Blanco and Joan Lucht are co-chairs for the 2025 retreat and encourage everyone to begin promoting this affordable 5-day retreat of creatives. Space is limited to 25. Registration form is attached and will be available at the May meeting.
