MEETINGS
August 2 Due to the virus travel restrictions and
concerns, Barrie Mason will not be able to come to the Chicago area to
give her "No touch Parfait Dying" Workshop. Hopefully
she will be able to come in August 2021 to give her workshop.
Instead we will have an open-air work-day. Each
participant should bring whatever she wants to work on while we are
together for a work day.
In addition Mary Warner has offered to teach some simple book-making
techniques in the morning. It is a workshop of various fairly simple bookmaking
ideas in which she will supply all of the paper and cover material. For those
who want to make books bring scissors, a cutting mat or tray-like surface, a
couple of glue sticks, some wax paper to keep the surface clean as one works,
perhaps a ruler and pencil. (Make 1 of them, 2, or all 3... during the
morning. Bring embellishments if you want to decorate them in the afternoon)
Participants who want to make these small books can pay Mary
Warner $5 for book-making supplies. See the photo below for a sampling of the types of non-stitch books that you can make.
We will have our MCS
Meeting at Noon while we have lunch.
Advance registration will
be necessary: Due to the need
for social distancing we can only have 24 participants at our meeting (2 people
per picnic table)
