Collaging with Skins -
Creating Dimensional Work - Maureen Gasek, presenter
Participants will
explore and learn how to work on different acrylic grounds and create skins
from mediums to build up a 3-D piece of work. Be ready to explore
dimension with paint.
Participants should bring acrylic paint, brushes, water containers. Paper
towels etc to be ready to paint. Everyone should bring a pair of
scissors, an exacto blade, palette knife and a flexible cutting board if they
have one. If you have different mediums bring the heavier/thicker ones
that will hold a shape. Also bring a plastic table cloth to protect the table.
Maureen will provide sample boards of grounds to work on, mediums, some paint
and some pre-made skins to play with on you board.

MCS RETREAT
Wow...what a great
retreat! Kudos to all the
artists for sharing some new techniques. We tried texture paste and gelli
printing, made Soul Collage cards and ATC cards. What fun to have two pop-up
demonstrations using artist embossing powder and a mouth atomizer. And we
were challenged with a brown bag collage. For all who didn't attend this
year...take heart, we will do it again next year, so save these dates - September
23rd - 27th, 2020. Until then Donna, Patty, Joan, Adrienne,
Tania and Margi say, "May the Forest be With You!"

the October meeting for those who wish to have one. Depending on size we should
be able to hang 30 to 40. Donna will be invited to display a piece along with
