Pocket Star Book
SUPPLIES for POCKETED STAR BOOK
- 2 cover boards- 4&1/4" by 5&1/2 "- cut from light weight board, such as tag board or cereal box
- 2 cover papers-5&1/2 by 6&1/2" -that will cover these boards
- 7 same colored card stock-4&1/4 by 11"-(these can be cut from 4 sheets of 8&1/2 by 11")
- 7 pieces card stock-4 by 9"-in a coordinating color. (Can be cut from 4 sheets 8&1/2 by 11")
- Ribbon- 30" long, coordinating color
I will be supplying the papers for our pocket pages. These will be cut from maps. Keep that in mind when choosing colors for the cover paper, card stock and ribbon. The maps will lend the book nicely to a travel, vacation or road trip theme.
Basic supplies: scissors, pencil, ruler, glue stick, tacky glue or something similar, toothpicks for applying glue, bone folder, wax or other paper to protect pages when assembling. If you forget or don't have something, we certainly can share.

$20 DUES ARE NOW DUE!
If they are not paid by
the June 7th meeting you will not be able to
participate in the show at the Fine Line gallery in September because the list
of participants must be finalized in June and you must be a paid member to
participate. You will also miss important news flashes about future programs
and exhibits. If you cannot attend the June 7th. meeting please contact Cherie Denton at cheryden@yahoo.com.
AUGUST WORK DAY

if you take your own photos.
This is important for us
as a group for proposals.
We have tentative plans
to have Ben Cooley come and shoot photos
at the August 2 all day work meeting, in the morning, for a new
cd to be used for proposals.
Each artist will be
allowed one free photo. If you would like to have more
Ben can shoot them for
$10 each (payable to Ben that day). This is a great opportunity
for us
individually and especially as a group. There is no
size restriction but no glass because
of the restriction of
space at the police station. Please have a friend bring one piece if
you can not attend..

RETREAT
The
Fall Retreat still has limited number of spaces. If you would like to
attend the Camp Mack retreat, please send in your application and deposit as

Yezek are participating in a joint exhibit by the Lombard Arts Coalition during
June and July at the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard. The
exhibit is located in the health clinic and is open Monday thruFriday from 7 a.m. to 7
p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to
2:00 p.m. Admission is free.

upcoming exhibits. If you have a website, you must want publicity.
