March 2nd Midwest Collage Society
SUNDAY, MARCH 2, 2008
1:30-4:00pm
The highlight of our March meeting will be a survey and discussion about future group programs and projects. Be prepared to share some ideas for workshops or field trips and suggestions for group projects that can be exhibited.
Members of the Midwest Collage Society.
Our next meeting on Sunday, March 2nd will have a mixed agenda.
(1) We will have a survey session to see what members would like to experience at future meetings.
(2) We will have a mini workshop. The only supplies you need is some adhesive (glue, glue stick, etc.), scissors, and of course your Swap materials.
~We will set up a table of a wide range of collage materials. You will choose 3 objects and create a quick collage on a 4 X 6 mat. This challenge should produce some very exciting and interesting results.
(3) Back by popular demand we ask everyone to bring 15-20 samples of a 4 X 6 collage paper that you have made. It could be hand made paper, paste paper, marble paper, or some other surface design that you have created. We will have an exchange of papers for you to take a sample of each.
~If you have time to write up the recipe of how your paper was created, please do so. This was a very interesting and popular activity last year.
Swap table will be set up for exchange of items. Doing a little cleaning in the studio? don't toss it in the trash bring to the meeting first and see if someone else can give it a new life.
