General Meeting (November 9th) Details:

1:00 - announcements and a presentation by Lezlie Lenz on the new Gelli Printing.

What to Bring: An apron and table protection, any papers you want to print plus any stencils or items to print texture. Bring a ball point pen. $5.00 studio fee applies
Goodies: PLUS the Crescent Board sample goodie bags from Lynn Tsan's October presentation arrived and will be available!
There will be a swap table.

Marmion Scholl Mezzanine Gallery – MCS Members Show

What: Reception is 3:00 to 5:00
Who: Barb Boland, Tania Blanco, Marjorie Boyd, Sandy Finch, Maureen Gasek, Joan Lucht and Jerri Reimann
Where: The Marmion Scholl Mezzanine Gallery is located in Aurora at 1000 Butterfield Road.
The gallery is through the main drive; follow the first curve to the right and around back. There will be signs.
Nancy Staszak
Nancy Staszak won an honorable mention at the Senior Artists' Network show "Later Impressions". Her work "Things Seen and Unseen" will be at the Renaissance Court Gallery of the Chicago Cultural Center through November 30th.
Nancy also has a two woman show with Pat Lagger at Congregation Beth Shalom in Naperville.
The reception will be at about 9:00PM after the 8:00PM service Friday, November 21st. The show will be up through the end of November.

MCS members Turkan Ilkdemirci and Eve Ozer will be exhibiting at 4Art Inc Gallery in November.
Reception is Friday, November 21, from 6-10 pm

A terrific exhibit of themed plexiglass houses made by 10 members of the Midwest Collage Society went up today at the Palos Park Library and will be up through Thanksgiving Day. It truly is a creative collection of assemblages. The directions to the library and the hours can be found on their website, palosparklibrary.org.
Call to Artists - Opportunity
Art for a Good Cause!
Calling all Artists who would like to contribute art to help support The Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry, serving Kane, Kendall, DuPage, Will and DeKalb counties. Help Us Pack the Pantry by donating a creative work of art. We are looking for Artists to create a 2-D or 3D piece of art, using bags as a material source but not limited to a bag. Think out of the bag.
Art Requirements:
Donate a 2-D or 3D piece of art pieces along with a requested $5.00 donation to help supply food for those in need in our communities and combat hunger.
All pieces must be gallery ready to hang or display. Title, medium, Artist name and value are required. Please put a value down for reference.
Pieces are due to If These Walls Could Talk by November 30, 2014.
December 5, 2014 - reception and silent auction, all pieces will start at $25.00. If you wish your piece to start higher please indicate. Reason for the $25.00 starting bid - $25.00 can purchase approximately 100 lbs. of meat or 100 boxes of cereal. $25.00 can give a lot.
