Our March meeting will be Sunday, March 2, from 12:30-3:00 pm at the Darien Municipal Center, 1710 Plainfield Rd., Darien. Studio fee will be $5.
Our own June Fuerstenhaefer will demonstrate how to turn found objects into tools for making designs or "marks" on your collage work. Exciting results come from everyday items that you might otherwise throw out. Recycling takes on a whole new meaning. After the demonstration there will be a hands on workshop. Below are the supplies that June suggests you bring:
Supply List:
Bring 2 empty Toilet Paper rolls. (Trust me on this!)
(If you have a 4 oz jar of paint or glue that fits inside a paper roll, bring that.)
Note: I will have a few jars on hand.
Scrap Mat board. Cut one piece 3" square and one piece 4" long and 3/4" wide.
A "scoring tool" (Like the tool used to score a fold line in a greeting card.)
Card Stock or Watercolor paper to experiment on.
Deli Paper (Five sheets)
Small sheet of Graphite tracing paper
Polymer Gel Medium in small jar.
Old brush for Gel Medium (small)
Acrylic Paint, three or four colors
Tacky Glue
Elmer's Rubber Cement (found at Michael's) 2 small jars will be available
Palette knife
Small foam paint roller
Disposable paint palette
Small water container for cleaning brushes
Paper towels
Rubber gloves
Pencil
Tweezers
Scissors, One large & one small sharp scissors
Place Mat to protect table (wax paper works)
